Explorers

Art Walk

Grounds for Sculpture is the joy of an art gallery taken outdoors with more than 270 sculptures spaced out across 42-acres of land. Once you have finished your tour, head over to Rat’s Restaurant to dine outdoors in one of the most romantic settings in the region, inspired by Claude Monet’s impressionist paintings.

Hiking/Biking

If you regularly bike in Philadelphia, you already know about the Schuylkill River Trail, but for those of you who haven’t, it is definitely something to try out! Philadelphia is one of the largest cycling-friendly cities in America and offers miles of road for you and your partner to explore. If you get tired you can even stop at a few roadside food attractions to fill up on delicious food!

If hiking is more your style, the Forbidden Drive is the perfect trail for minimal sweating, a little resistance, and a large reward. If you walk the entire Wissahickon Valley Park trail you can even end up at the Valley Green Inn which has heated outdoor seating, a water-front view, brunch, and most importantly, mimosas.

Garden Stroll

Explore Longwood Gardens in Chester County, with over 1,000 acres of botanical gardens consisting of 10 indoor and outdoor spots including a new exhibit called Voices in the Landscape.

Countryside Brews

What first started out as a pop-up summer beer garden, Levante Brewing Company is now a permanent fixture in Chester Springs serving beer, local wines, and hard ciders. You can visit the outdoor beer garden in Levante Stables to drink from fire pits and restored barns that date back to the 1800s.

Creatives

Classical Music

The Curtis Institute of Music hosts free student recitals year-round for the public to enjoy. All viewers are welcome to enjoy the music in person or virtually, just register to receive the ticket or link!

Wonderspaces

You can now book a ticket to Wonderspaces’ 24,000 square foot gallery inside the Fashion District (with limited capacity due to COVID). The space features interactive art from creators around the world that will leave you wonderstruck.

Museum Hopping

If there is one thing we’ve learned from COVID, it is that activities like coloring are not just for kids. The Franklin Institute’s Crayola IDEAworks exhibit is a perfect place to release your inner child. If you are more interested in the body and inner workings of the medical field, check out the Mutter Museum and its array of medical artifacts.

Maybe you’ve gone in on a couples massage before, but have you ever booked out a pool near the top of a skyscraper for a night of massages, a bottle of wine, and a three-course meal and soaking in the views until 1 am? Book your stay at the Four Seasons Philadelphia to experience it all.

Dinner and Chill

The Head and the Hand bookstore offers couples a safe and fun outing with an opportunity to buy out the store for the night, BYOF (bring your own food), browse privately, and take 15 percent off any purchase at the end of your date. There’s also complimentary beer or wine, plus one free book that’s yours to keep.
